Our Mission

The Olsen Family Foundation is a private charitable foundation organized and operated exclusively for charitable and educational purposes within the meaning of Section 501(c)(3) of the Internal Revenue Code.

The Foundation’s mission is to support and fund charitable organizations and programs that advance educational opportunity for:

  • Military service members and their families, and

  • Children with special educational needs

Through targeted grantmaking and educational assistance, the Foundation seeks to reduce barriers to learning and promote long-term opportunity for populations facing unique challenges.

Focus Areas

Support for Military Families

The Foundation provides financial support to organizations and initiatives that promote educational and vocational advancement for:

  • Active-duty, reserve, and veteran service members

  • Military-connected children and families

Supported activities may include scholarships, tuition assistance, training programs, and educational resources administered by qualified charitable organizations.

Support for Children with Special Educational Needs

The Foundation supports charitable programs and institutions that provide educational services and opportunities for children with special learning, developmental, or cognitive needs.

Funding may be directed toward:

  • Specialized educational programs and schools

  • Tuition assistance administered by qualified organizations

  • Educational resources designed to support individualized learning

Our Approach

As a private family foundation, the Olsen Family Foundation:

  • Operates exclusively through charitable funding and grantmaking

  • Does not engage in public fundraising or solicitation of donations

  • Makes funding decisions in accordance with applicable federal and state laws governing private foundations
